MA Fashion Futures 23/24 Master Exhibition

Modernising Made-to-Measure (MMTM) Fashion System

MA Fashion Futures 23/24 Master Exhibition presents the work of graduating students from the MA Fashion Futures programme.

Dajeong presents a pair of trousers developed through a Modernising Made-to-Measure (MMTM) system she designed, utilising pre-consumer textile waste, in collaboration with Minnie Grubb, a transmasculine participant, for whom the system was specifically developed and tested.

The exhibition also features a collaborative tapestry artwork created by AF Legacy, Ashantee, and Filly, employing painted and mixed-media techniques incorporating post-consumer textile waste generated during the trouser-making process.

The garment and artwork are accompanied by a short film documenting the MMTM system, tracing the project’s lifecycle from design to material reuse, and incorporating dialogue-based interviews with the participant and documentation of collaboration with local artists.
